Benefits Coordinator

This position will be part of the Human Resource Department team and will be responsible for benefits administration for all Midstates Group locations. The positions will also assist in fostering a safe and respectful work environment for all employees of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 Benefits administration for new and existing employees for all locations.
 COBRA administration for employees who leave the company.
 FMLA/LOA administration for all employees who qualify under federal guidelines.
 Workers Compensation claim management.
 Employee uniform program administration for all Full-Time employees.
 Benefit billing management and reconciliation.
 Participate in new employee orientation to onboard employees into the company culture.
 Assist in facilitating company sponsored events, such as: company picnic, holiday party, etc.
 Understand the company mission and effectively communicate the goals of the company.
 Communicates with employees to explain company policies and procedures.
 Maintain employee confidence by keeping information confidential.
 Maintain employee HIPAA files.
 Respond to HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
 Other duties assigned that may be necessary to achieve company and department goals.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred, but not required.
